The TING pen has a built-in rechargeable battery with a capacity of 320mAh.
With a fully charged battery, continuous operation of 3 to 4 hours is possible with headphones or earphones connected and at least 2 hours via the built-in speaker.
These figures may vary depending on the ambient conditions (set volume, ambient temperature).
A completely discharged battery (the TING pen can no longer be switched on) must be recharged for approx. 1.5 hours.
The TING pen can be charged via the USB port of the computer, via the optional charger or a commercially available charger with a USB port (e.g. for smartphones).
The charger should be able to supply at least 1 ampere of charging current.
Proper functioning can only be guaranteed if the ambient temperature is between +5°C and +40°C and the storage temperature is between -20°C and +60°C during operation.

You can use commercially available power supply units, e.g. from smartphones, as long as they have a mini-USB plug and an output voltage of 5V / 1A (see label on the power supply unit).
An optional power supply adapter will soon be available in our webshop, to which the supplied mini-USB cable can be connected.
There is a headphone output on the side of the pen.
All commercially available headphones with a 3.5 mm jack connection or corresponding active loudspeakers can be connected here.
The number of titles that can be saved depends on the data volume (number and length) of the audio files.
Under certain circumstances, a book title can occupy up to 200 MB.
All titles can be downloaded free of charge at any time.
Tap the activation logo on the back of your TING book with your pen.
Incorrect sounds are played if you have forgotten to activate the title currently in use and the previous title is therefore still in the pen’s memory.
It is completely irrelevant which hand the pen is held in.
